Who We Are

We'll Folk it Up! - Margaret Miles

Yes M'am!

is a three women (mostly) a capella singing group. We sing traditional folk songs as well as music that wouldn't necessarily be thought of folk before we put our particular (if not peculiar) spin on it.

We realized that it was a heck of a lot of fun to sing together after performing at Camp Harmony in 2014 so Yes M'am! was formed. We're currently working on a lot of covers but we plan to move into more original work soon enough.

Mary Hill grew up in the Bay Area folk music society, and is glad she grew up with the belief that everyone everywhere sings and harmonizes for fun.

Her genre specialties include Musical Theater, American / Irish / British traditional, Disney, Folk, Jazz, Opera, and Bluegrass.

While she may be the least experienced of the three when it comes to singing  professionally, she's a quick study and is loving the musical journey that she has found herself on.

Amelia Hogan is a singer of many kinds of music, but her heart is tied to Irish, Scottish, British, Bluegrass and American traditional vocals.

She also play Bodhran, and a twenty-two string Welsh lap harp, and has even performed her music internationally.

In her spare time, she can be found walking in Golden Gate park, drawing, contemplating her navel, reading, being a hobbit, snuggling her stuffies, and making lots of music.
